This is a small memory of our house in Valldoreix, stay of 1 year and 6 months.

The engravings presented are based on real plant elements found in the garden, which for almost the entire time rested on a shelf in my office…

This way of doing things has been going on for a long time, since 2004, from the series of etchings “Lost & Found” in New York, the first work of objects that find me, and that, like an album, remind me of places, moments and experiences.

As if it were an ancient botanical treatise, the plant elements are shown to us on paper as a memory. We can also remember Anna Atkins, with her blue drawings, as they were called at the time, cyanotypes that she made from the plant elements she found in Devon, England, by the sea.

The pieces presented are not cyanotypes, they are photogravures, but the way they are worked has similarities with them.

There could be many more images, but it is these six plant elements that have given rise to the work that really found me, there was no specific or methodical search.

They are a small tribute to the stay in Valldoreix.
