30 MORNINGS: 2011, Betanzos.

Following the find-and-gather way of making, which comes from the “Lost & Found” NY 2004 series of etchings, these orchids are the harvest of many mornings in the past… different houses and times, but they were still there blooming and offering themselves!!!! Remembering that there are so many tomorrows lived and to be lived!!!

This project is based on the drawings of the original orchids, from which the woodcuts that make up the Series are derived.

Most of the work was made at the CIEC, International Center of Contemporary Print, in Betanzos, La Coruña, Spain. During the three months of scholarship for the Master’s Degree in Woodcut in that place.

Later the complete Series was exhibited at the Maragall Edicions Gallery, Barcelona, Spain.
